SEASON OUTLOOK
Last year the Underdogs did "Super Good!" Owner coach Truman Barnes hopes that this year it's going to be "straight the same."

"I feel happy to my players this year," he says. "And I feel myself looking at my team right now. Wait, not a dot after that sentence; an exclamation point! Do shift 1 to get an exclamation point. That shows that I'm happy about it."

Whence the enthusiasm for a team that set a new standard for choking by plowing through the regular season, nearly untouchable, but then proving to be plenty touchable in the playoffs and getting bludgeoned in the first round? Well, for one thing, Truman has high hopes because of his revamped roster. "I have a guy named Ben on my team (guard Ben Gordon), just like Uncle Ben (league commissioner and league uncle Ben Barnes)." And it's always good to have a player whose namesake is in charge of the league, if you know what I mean.

Combine that with returning star Dwight "the Coward" Howard, and Truman has just one thing to say to other WFBL owners this year: "Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird. It's a plane. It's Underdogs." And don't forget that exclamation point!
